She was a devoted grandmother fondly called “Nanny.” Brought up in a musical household with a father who played harmonica, guitar, and sang, Judy snapped her fingers and shuffled her feet to any tune, but she especially enjoyed country music and Elvis. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her sister, Louise McLaughlin, as well as her husband of 55 years, and her children, her daughter-in-law - Tammy Brown, 4 grandchildren - Travis, Chelsi, Kelsye, and Jeffery, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brothers Carlton and Allen Sessions. She attended Yukon High School and then married Murl Junior Brown in 1967 and together they had Jeff Brown, Jody Ortiz, and Mike Brown. “Judy” was born on July 30, 1946, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Bernice Sanson “J.B.” or “Joe Bernice” and Nevata Rae Sessions. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, at Carson Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Ray Mason, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, walked through the heavenly gates and into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 28th in Tulsa, OK with his loving wife of 51 years Glenda and adoring daughter, April by his side. Viewing will be from 3-8 PM on Sunday, Apat Integrity Funeral Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guftin Cox, Father, Arley Horne, mother Mildred Carl, and by one nephew, Kenneth Horne. Her laughter, love, and unwavering spirit will be cherished forever. Glenda Lea Cox's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her loving, spirited, and funny nature will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a unique ability to make people laugh, often playing the role of the jokester at family gatherings and brightening the lives of those around her. She had a passion for gardening, casinos, and shopping.Ībove all, Glenda was a wonderful mother who always put her family first. Glenda's interests were diverse and reflected her fun-loving nature. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her profession were admired by her colleagues and appreciated by the residents she cared for. She spent many years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for various nursing homes in the area, providing compassionate care to those in need. Throughout her life, Glenda was a dedicated and hardworking individual. Glenda is survived by an extensive and loving family, including her two brothers, Arley Edward Horne and his wife Rhonda of McAlester, and Jimmy Horne of McAlester two sisters, Brenda Holmes and her husband Mike of Shawnee, and Phyllis Ingram and her husband Tim of Okmulgee three daughters, Valerie Hill of Wetumka, Lindie Purdom of Dustin, and Charity Redman of Owasso one son, Rocky Cox of Hanna eight grandchildren, Ethan Lewis, WD Cox, Jessica Cox, Stormy Bain, Mason Bain, Kortney Purdom, Paris Purdom, and Nickolas Redman six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was 60 years old at the time of her passing, having fought a courageous battle against breast cancer. Born on May 24, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
